Firth Ecopave Permeable Paving Solutions

Published: 30 September 2024

Firth Ecopave is permeable paving solutions designed to manage stormwater runoff by allowing water to filter through the surface and into the permeable base managing the flow rate to the network, retention and detention or recharging natural aquafers.  The Ecopave systems reduce surface water build-up and help prevent flooding, making it an eco-friendly option for driveways, pathways, parking areas and Patios.

Reasons for using Firth Ecopave include:

– Sustainability: It supports natural water infiltration, reducing the strain on stormwater systems and minimizing environmental impact.
– Flood Prevention: Controlling runoff decreases the risk of localised flooding.
– Durability: Ecopave provides a strong, long-lasting surface ideal for various applications in both residential and commercial projects.
– Aesthetic and Functional Flexibility: Available in different styles and finishes, it can be customized to suit specific design needs while providing practical environmental benefits.

Firth Ecopave Pixel Paver permeable solution is a 50/50 design ratio with Pixel Paver and Firth’s PaveWare 80mm paving range.  The Pixel paver provides for infill of suitable soil and grass, edible plants (beneficial for bees and insects) or decorative pebble (no fines). Flow rate between 8000 – 10000 mm of water per hour.
