Designed for restrictive sites, the StormSlab system is a welcome introduction to APD’s range of urban stormwater systems for the plumbing and drainlaying industry.
As the winner of the Master Plumbers 2022 Product of the Year, APD’s StormSlab system received the award in recognition of significant contribution to product development in the plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying industry in the past year.
The StormSlab solution is compatible with APD’s extensive range of urban stormwater systems, and can be coupled with the APD RainWorx rain harvesting application for water reuse, while utilising an above ground pump.
APD’s StormSlab tanks are versatile as they are available in multiple sizes to suit any site or design. The tanks are 1100mm wide to match standard pod configurations, are 300mm deep for extra storage, and have no connections between StormSlabs under the slab. A vent pipe is passed through the concrete slab and up into the wall space, vented out through the cladding as per the building code for DWV pipe passing through the waterproof membrane – allowing the tank to completely fill up. Full consent slab drawings, including producer statements, are available from www.apd.co.nz.
APD’s tanks, including StormSlab, are proudly designed and made in New Zealand, manufactured from fully recyclable water tank grade PE material suitable for below ground installation. By utilising their own rotomoulding and fabrication expertise to create products locally at their Auckland location, APD are able to supply products to exact specifications to suit the requirements of each project.
APD Product Manager Darien Warburton believes this is a vital factor in supplying customised solutions for projects in a timely manner. “By working with each customer on an individual basis, our team of experts are able to scope out our client’s specific needs and provide tailored solutions that are perfect for each project.”
