READY Super Slab is an engineered flooring system, known as a raft foundation, that can be used on all ground conditions regardless of your land classifcation (so also suitable for poor sites with low soil bearing capabilities).
This construction method offers increased speed of installation, improves thermal performance (R Value), and importantly provides sustainability gains, whether it is used for residential house slabs, shed floors, and small commercial buildings or warehouses
With a grillage of beams within the concrete slab it provides a stiffer and stronger final product than a conventional 100mm slab, and because of its inherent strength a deepened perimeter footing can usually be omitted.
READY Super Slab has for some time now also offered the option of QPOD. Manufactured from recycled material the QPOD is a sustainable alternative to traditional polystyrene pods – an effective system that lets you avoid the mess, with four plastic pods replicating the standard 1100mm x 1100mm square & 220mm deep polystyrene pods.
Recently Allied Concrete partnered with Quickset. Opting for this permanent formwork system that enhances time saving (it’s a permanent formwork system, so no return for removal/stripping) and further enhances the thermal design benefits of the READY Super Slab.
READY Super Slab is CodeMark-certifed meaning building consent authorities will accept it as complying with the New Zealand Building Code*. You will still need to apply for consent, however the CodeMark means no delays at council.
